We will begin the tour from the beautiful city of Puerto Varas, also known as the City of Roses, with a stop at the waterfront to enjoy a view of the city from the bay and the "Aurora" sculpture with Lake Llanquihue in the background. We will explore its main tourist attractions, including the **Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús** (subject to availability), built between 1915 and 1918. This Baroque-style church is an exact replica of a church from the Black Forest of Germany, from where some of the settlers who arrived in the area in 1852 originated. We will visit the Old Quarter, where the first German settlers settled.
Next, we will head towards the central area, bordering the beautiful Llanquihue Lake, with the imposing **Osorno Volcano** in the background (weather permitting). The volcano’s melting snow feeds the lake every day. From there, we will head to **Puerto Montt**, located 20 km south, the capital of the Lakes and Volcanoes Region. We will visit the highest point of the city, where we will have a stunning panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Tenglo Island.
We will NEXT head to the **Monument to the German Colonists**, located in front of the Plaza de Armas, by the waterfront pier. Along the way, we will admire the city’s architectural heritage and cultural mix. We will NEXT continue towards **Angelmó**, known for its many craft stores and, of course, the **Fishermen’s Cove**, where we will learn about the daily activities of the local fishermen, who bring traditional seafood and fish to be sold at the market. We will also find the typical eateries offering the most delicious and traditional dishes that characterize our region.
