Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Palace of Versailles was the residence of the French monarchy of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI from 1682 until the French Revolution in 1789. Thanks to the audio guide's commentary, you will be free to discover the majestic Palace of Versailles: its baroque architecture, its sumptuous decorations, its objets d'art, as well as its furniture made by the best craftsmen of the time. Afterwards, you can stroll freely in the gardens of the Palace.
In 1661, Louis XIV commissioned the gardener André Le Nôtre to design the park and gardens, very important to him as the design of the Palace. You will freely explore the Gardens of Versailles and admire its works of art (more than 200 statues), its fountains, its ponds, its flower beds and its groves. During the summer, numerous animations are programmed, such as the "Grandes Eaux" (Great Waters), which set the many fountains in action to the rhythm of music.
