Description
No trip to Italy is complete without seeing what the archeological city of Pompeii reveals about ancient life. However, few can fit it in without transport. Our relaxing day trip to Pompeii from Rome will take you on a climate-controlled bus on the Highway of the Sun to discover the south of Italy.
Skip the Lines into the historic city of Pompeii
From start to finish you’ll have an English-speaking tour leader with you who is an expert in this region of Italy. In this acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site, your Tour Leaders will deal with the lines and the entrance tickets while you take in your first view of the half-buried city encased in rubble and ash.
After skipping the lines you’ll meet your own personal archaeologist. They’ll guide you along the paved streets that have been preserved for 1500 years under 20ft of volcanic ash. Unlike a museum, you’ll be able to enter the homes, baths, food stores and outdoor theaters which have preserved so much of ancient life.
All-Inclusive Lunch with views of Naples
Our acclaimed tour now includes an exceptional lunch experience at an authentic Italian restaurant boasting panoramic views of the Bay of Naples. Indulge in a delightful all-inclusive meal featuring traditional pizza, an appetizer, and dessert, providing a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. You’ll get the chance to recharge for the journey to Vesuvius that’s ahead.
Hike Mt. Vesuvius or Explore with a Geologist
After visiting Pompeii, the bus will take you to the Mount Vesuvius area, home to one of the few active volcanoes in Europe. When booking, you will need to choose one of the two available experiences in the options section:
Hike to the Great Crater:
Ascend through the volcanic landscape to the crater and, when visibility permits, enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, Capri, and Sorrento.
Guided Geologist Walk:
Enjoy a more moderate hike accompanied by an expert geologist, who will help you discover the features and wonders of the volcanic landscape.
Please CHOOSE your preferred option before completing your booking, as it will not be possible to change your experience on the day of the tour.

Casi perfecto

Speechless
One of the highlights of our trip to Roma. The guide flagged where it was worth stopping for photos. The pace was comfortable, neither rushed nor dull. Do not hesitate, book it.

Perfect intro to the city
One of the highlights of our trip to Roma. They gave us plenty of notice about a schedule change. The english-speaking tour leader for the day is a smart touch. It helped us decide where to go back to later in the week. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Roma.

One of the highlights of our trip to Roma. We messaged them on WhatsApp with a question and got an answer in minutes. Our guide remembered everyone by name, a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Delivers and more
Much better than I had imagined. Having 3-course lunch at authentic Naples Restaurant makes it more complete. We paid noticeably less than other options and the experience was just as good. We messaged them on WhatsApp with a question and got an answer in minutes.
