Travel from your hotel to the heart of Tierra del Fuego National Park and discover a landscape that looks like something out of a postcard. In Ensenada Zaratiegui, the waters of the Beagle Channel merge with the horizon, framed by the Redonda, Hoste, and Navarino islands. This place is the perfect starting point for an adventure that combines nature, culture, and history.
The hike along the Coastal Path is a true sensory journey. Over seven kilometers, the trail reveals the typical flora of the Tierra del Fuego forest, native birds soaring through the sky, and signs of the passage of the ancient Yámana, the first inhabitants of these southern lands. If conditions don't allow for this trail, there is an equally fascinating alternative through the Pampa Alta.
After the hike, a hot lunch surrounded by nature comforts us and recharges us for what lies ahead: a unique journey on inflatable rafts along the Lapataia River. This tranquil water tour takes us to the legendary Lapataia Bay, where the Pan-American Highway and National Route 3 meet. It's a symbolic moment, the perfect ending to a day full of discovery.
The excursion concludes with the return to Ushuaia, leaving you with memories of an unforgettable day among mountains, forests, and the Fuegian waters.
Entrance to the National Park is not included and must be paid upon arrival, in cash only (credit and debit cards are not accepted). The approximate cost is AR$30,000 for foreigners and AR$9,000 for Argentine residents.
Appropriate clothing is recommended: hiking boots and pants, a waterproof jacket, and a coat.
Children under 12 years of age are not allowed on this activity, without exception.
The boats used are inflatable rafts with a capacity of 8 passengers plus the guide. The route and order of the excursion may be changed at the guide's discretion. The Coastal Path is offered as long as the guide deems the weather, soil, and group conditions suitable; another option is the Pampa Alta.
Some hotels in the city are not included in our pickup itinerary. If so, we will contact you to indicate the nearest hotel where we will pick you up for the excursion. You must wait for your guide in the lobby of the indicated hotel. Pick-up or drop-off from or to the port cannot be scheduled.
