Montevideo city tour: visit Ciudad Vieja (old city) and its Plaza Matriz, colonial Montevideo's potable water fountain, Legislativo, Avenida de Las Leyes, the residential neighborhood del Prado, Casa de Gobierno, Obelisco a los Constituyentes de 1830, Parque Batlle and Ordóñez, the monument to La Carreta, Centenario Stadium, the residential neighborhood Carrasco, Rambla Naciones Unidas and the neighbourhoods Punta Gorda, Malvin, Buceo with its yacht port, Pocitos and Punta Carretas. Return to the hotel.
Full day in Punta del Este: tour around Montevideo and Costa de Oro beaches. Visit the famous Casapueblo in Punta Ballena, house and sculpture of the Uruguayan painter Carlos Paez Vilaros. Go over Playa Mansa and the residential neighbourhoods Beverly Hills, El Golf, Cantegril and San Rafael, then Barra de Maldonado and its colorful beachside restaurants, and Playa Brava up to the port and Ciudad Península. After lunch (optional), free time for shopping and the craftsmen fair. At 4 PM return to the hotels in Montevideo.

Colonia was founded by the Portuguese Empire more than 300 years ago and passed to the Spanish Monarchy in 1777 with the Treaty of San Ildefonso. Go over Calle de los Suspiros, Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento (church), Bastión de San Pedro, Polvorín, the Lighthouse, Museos Español y Portugués (museums), Museo del Azulejo, etc. (entrance tickets are not included), Rambla Costanera (coastal boardwalk), Real de San Carlos and its old Plaza de Toros, St Benito's Chapel and the Port. Free time in Barrio Histórico and its charming streets. Lunch (optional). At the appointed time, return to the hotel.
