Description

This one-day trip is a full day of paddling exciting whitewater past cascading waterfalls and the spectacular rainforest. The Pacuares class 3 and 4 rapids are suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers, ages 12 and older, who are ready for adventure and being physically active all day.
After an early pick-up at your San Jose area hotel, we will drive to Cartago - Costa Ricas historic capital city - and through small towns and countryside to the rafting hub of Turrialba. Well stop for breakfast (included) and afterward head to the Pacuare River put in. At the river, your guides will outfit you with rafting equipment and give a paddling explanation and safety talk.
Then the fun begins! Well paddle 18 miles downriver through class 3 and 4 rapids like Huacas, Rodeo, Pinball, Cimarrones, and Dos Montañas. Along the way, well stop for a riverside picnic lunch. After finishing rafting, youll be able to change into dry clothes before driving back to San Jose.
During this trajectory you will enjoy a combination of enthusiasm and extreme adventure. The Pacuare River is recognized worldwide for its beauty flanked by its green canyons bathed on both sides by its lush waterfalls. Within its abundant flora and fauna in sight: sloth bears, toucans, parakeets, coatis, a colorful fan of butterflies and frogs, is not out of its exciting crystalline waters that make it an unforgettable adventure trip. During the descent, we will make a stop at a game of the river, where we will enjoy a buffet style lunch. Finish the trajectory in our private operations center in the city of Siquirres, where we can take a shower, change clothes, enjoy a drink while appreciating and reflect the photos of the incredible adventure just lived, in the company of their new friends.
