ITINERARY
Day 1: Uros - Amantani
We start this tour at 7:45 am. With transfer from your hotel to the port.
Then we board to the floating island of the Uros (25 min Approx.).
Upon arrival we receive a small reception from the inhabitants, NEXT our guide will give us a complete explanation of the inhabitants, customs and characteristics of this fascinating place, we visit 2 of the 80 islands and we will also have the opportunity to take a short ride (15 min approx.) in the traditional reed boats (optional).
Next, After a 3-hour navigation we arrive at the island of Amantani, upon disembarking at the port, the group is divided into smaller groups to rest in the rural houses with the various Taquileña families.
The typical lunch is served with the designated families.
At sunset, we undertake a walk to the highest point of the island known as 'Pacha Tata' to see the sunset. There our guide will give us a brief deion of the main characteristics and peculiarities of the island.
After dinner, the designated family dresses us in their typical costumes, to take us to the community room or peña, where we will have a small celebration.
Upon returning, spend the night in the rural houses designated for each group.
Day 2: Amantani - Taquile
Breakfast at a rural house NEXT we begin our tour at 8:00 am.
Heading towards the island of Taquile, after approximately 1 hour. By navigation, we arrived at this island, upon disembarking at the port we began with a gradually ascending walk to the main square of said island, (approximately 45 minutes of walking) without demand, to visit the communal cooperative where their fabrics are exhibited.
The guide will tell us about the way of life of the inhabitants and their famous textile industry, which was declared 'intangible cultural heritage of humanity' by UNESCO.
Next we will have lunch at one of the local restaurants (not included).
After lunch we descend a route of 500 steps to the main port (optional route).
At approximately 1:00 pm. We embark to Puno (approximately 3 hours of navigation).
Return to Puno and End of services.
