Description
In the heart of Buenos Aires, facing Plaza San Martín, you will find the iconic Palacio Paz—one of the city's premier architectural gems.
Built in the early 20th century and commissioned by José C. Paz—founder of the *La Prensa* newspaper and Argentine ambassador to Paris from 1885 to 1893—it is the country's largest private residence. It is also one of the few homes in Buenos Aires to bear the title of "Palace," a distinction earned through the design and layout of its interior reception rooms. Originally designed as a family home, the structure spans four floors and 140 rooms, covering a total area of 12,000 square meters.
A prime example of Beaux-Arts architecture, the building was designed by the renowned French architect Louis-Marie Henri Sortais, while the construction was overseen by the distinguished Argentine architect and engineer Carlos Agote.
After being inhabited by the Paz family for only a short time, the building became the headquarters of the Military Circle (*Círculo Militar*), the National Military Library, and the National Arms Museum in 1938.
This experience offers you the chance to enjoy a breakfast or afternoon snack featuring a *Croque Madame* inside the Palace. The *Croque Madame* is a dish often found in extraordinary settings, such as museums, private clubs, and historic buildings.
Savoring Argentine cuisine amidst historic walls—surrounded by the architectural beauty and ambiance of this iconic landmark—is a truly unique experience and a must-do activity in Buenos Aires.

Crustless bread mini Sandwich filled with Blue Cheese cream and Walnuts

Bom passeio

Very good, just short of excellent. Everything ran on time and was well organised. The guide handled the group well. The tables are a little close together.
