The mission of the Fundaci贸 Mas Mir贸 aims to spread the link between the life and work of Joan Mir贸 through the context that marked his career: Mas Mir贸 and the landscape that houses it, in Mont-roig del Camp, Mas Mir贸 aims to be a center of reference of Mir贸s art and the dissemination of culture and art in the territory of Mont-roig.
Mont-roig, as a source of inspiration, and Mas Mir贸, as an intimate space, are places to discover the artists most intimate side. Knowing and understanding this context, so influential in the artists life, will allow us to reinterpret his work.
The Foundations values are based on a deep respect for the land and nature, a distinctive feature of the artist and a very influential aspect of his work.
Joan Mir贸 always conceived Mas Mir贸 as a place to welcome friends, neighbors and family, from illustrious artists seeking to share a peaceful and inspiring environment to neighboring peasants who gathered in the chapel of the farmhouse to practice their faith.
