Description
This Naples city tour offers an introduction to this vibrant and multicultural Italian city through three different areas. The experience includes a scenic drive along the Naples seaside, with panoramic views of the Bay of Naples from Posillipo and Mergellina; a walking tour of the elegant monumental district, featuring Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace of Naples and the historic San Carlo Theater; and a stroll along Spaccanapoli, the ancient heart of the historic center of Naples, originally founded by the Greeks.According to ancient mythology, the Greek poet Homer, in his epic Odyssey, tells the story of Ulysses and his voyage along the Italian coasts. While sailing these waters, he encountered the Sirens, whose enchanting songs lured sailors to their doom. Warned by the sorceress Circe, Ulysses ordered his crew to seal their ears with wax and had himself tied to the ships mast. Legend says that one of the Sirens, Parthenope, washed ashore on the island of Megaride, where today stands the iconic Castel dellOvo, giving Naples its ancient name, Partenope. For travelers looking to deepen their experience, an optional street food tasting in Naples is available. This addition allows you to savor the authentic flavors of Neapolitan cuisine, sampling typical local street food specialties and discovering the city through its most genuine culinary traditions.

Imperdible
