Description
Circuito Chico serves as the gateway to the region’s most iconic landscapes, offering a chance to connect with the natural beauty and essence of this mountain town—all within just half a day.
The adventure begins on Avenida Bustillo, a scenic route that winds alongside the imposing Lake Nahuel Huapi. As you travel further, the urban landscape fades away, replaced by a natural canvas where forests of cypress, maitén, coihue, and ñire trees envelop you in their fragrance and color.
At kilometer 17, you encounter one of the route’s true gems: Cerro Campanario. Rising to 1,050 meters, its summit offers one of the top eight panoramic views in the world.
The journey continues to kilometer 24, where architectural wonders begin to emerge—the charming San Eduardo Chapel, the elegant Llao Llao Hotel, and Puerto Pañuelo—creating a scene straight out of a postcard. From there, you enter the serene surroundings of Villa Tacul and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Escondido.
One of the most striking highlights is crossing the Angostura Bridge, where Lake Nahuel Huapi and Lake Perito Moreno meet in a spectacular display of colors and reflections.
The Lake Moreno viewpoint offers a privileged vantage point that invites you to pause and simply take in the scenery. On the return trip, you pass by the tranquil Laguna El Trébol as the road leads you back toward the city center.
In just 60 kilometers, you will have explored the lakes, mountains, and forests that form the vibrant soul of Bariloche. It is a journey that blends nature, history, and unforgettable landscapes, leaving every visitor with a touch of Patagonian magic.
