Description

The route begins from the center of Bilbao directly towards La Rioja on the highway. The route shows the mountainous landscapes until reaching the Plateau with its oak and beech forests.
Our first stop will be in Haro, the wine capital of La Rioja, where we will visit CVNE, a century-old and emblematic winery in the area. We will take a guided tour of its essential spaces, including the barrel room, designed by the legendary architect Gustave Eiffel. We will pass through the underground cellars (cemetery) and do a wine tasting.
After visiting the winery, we will take a guided walking tour of the historic center of Haro, where we will visit the Plaza de la Paz. We will continue the journey passing through the Haro Station neighborhood, where the largest number of century-old wineries are concentrated, to head to the beautiful medieval town of Laguardia.
In Laguardia, we will take a walk through its picturesque streets, since it is a famous town in the Rioja Alavesa for its Historical Monumental Complex and its magnificent wineries. We will visit a small traditional winery where we can learn about the winemaking processes from a family perspective.
At the FINAL of the visit to the winery, we will have free time for lunch, your guide will recommend the best places to eat.
Direct return to Bilbao by highway and arrival in the center of Bilbao in the middle of the afternoon.
