Description
Its hard to resist a glimpse of Michelangelos David â the gem of Italian sculptures â at the Accademia Gallery. On this tour you'll get to skip the line and visit the impressive Renaissance collection. Elena, one of our local guides, says, 'Delve beyond the details of unfinished sculptures and Renaissance art of the gallery. Youll get a glimpse into the lives of Florences Medici family too.'
Explore the gallerys seven halls. Marvel at paintings, frescos and altarpieces and learn why Michelangelos unfinished statues still spark curiosity today. The Tribune is where the gallerys star statue can be found. The colossal statue of David packs a punch, created by 26-year-old Michelangelo from a solid piece of marble. Its a revolutionary interpretation of David before the act of killing Goliath.
Step inside the Museum of Musical Instruments to explore an elegant collection of string and wind instruments including a one-of-a-kind Stradivari viola, decorated with the Medici family crest.

We booked this on a whim and it ended up being our favourite day. Easy going, you do not need to be fit for it. We went back to Florencia on our own the next day. We paid noticeably less than other options and the experience was just as good.

No podría haber salido mejor.

Amazing day
Best day of our stay in Florencia. The guide told us stories you will not find in any guidebook. Everything was handled digitally, nothing to print. Perfect for getting an overview, then going back to what you liked most. If only every tour were run like this.

Cinco estrellas bien merecidas.
