Embark on a unique and exclusive experience to explore the heart of Los Glaciares National Park on Lake Argentino. The Glaciares Gourmet excursion is more than just a boat tour; it's an eight-hour journey aboard one of the most comfortable vessels on Lake Argentino, designed to combine the wonder of nature with luxurious service. Our guides will captivate you with fascinating information and stories about the area.
Glaciares Gourmet is a full-day tour that will immerse you in the splendor of Patagonia. The adventure begins at Puerto La Soledad, Bahía Tranquila (Paraje Punta Bandera), 45 kilometers from El Calafate. On board our vessel, you will feel safe and comfortable as you venture into the immense Lake Argentino, crossing the narrow Boca del Diablo (the narrowest passage of the lake, approximately 800 meters wide) and exploring the imposing Bahía Escuadra, with views of towering mountain walls and the Condorera (condor nest), sailing across the lake with views of the outposts of old Estancias.
We'll sail through the Spegazzini Channel, where you'll be dazzled by the views of the Seco (Totalizador) and Heim Glaciers, as well as the impressive Spegazzini Glacier (the tallest glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, with walls exceeding 130 meters in height). We'll then sail towards Las Vacas Bay and disembark at Puesto Las Vacas for a guided 50-minute walk, exploring the flora, fauna, and remnants of ancient inhabitants.
Afterward, we'll head to the Upsala Channel, where you'll have a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier and its icebergs. During the voyage, you can also purchase food, snacks, drinks, and infusions, as the vessel has a bar service. Finally, we'll sail through the Iceberg Channel to approach the Perito Moreno Glacier from its northern face, offering a different and spectacular perspective of this imposing structure.
Entrance to Los Glaciares National Park is not included. Its approximate value is $45,000 and is paid upon entry. They do not accept Mastercard cards, you can pay in cash or Visa card in Argentine pesos when you arrive at the Park.
